Policy
Publisher Independence
The operational commitments behind the Aletvia Independence Principle.
Editorial authority is untouched
Participation in the Aletvia network places no obligation on a journal to accept, review, expedite or acknowledge any routed manuscript.
Aletvia never sees, requests or influences an editorial decision.
Commercial terms are not a ranking input
Match ranking uses scope fit, article-type fit, methodological fit, manuscript readiness and author-stated preference.
Contract value, fees, participation tier and relationship length are stored separately from matching data and are not available to the ranking function.
There is no bidding, no paid placement, no sponsored slot and no revenue weighting.
Authors decide
Candidate journals are presented with the reasons behind their position. The author selects the destination; Aletvia never submits on an author's behalf without that choice.
Demand profiles describe, they do not privilege
A Journal Demand Profile lets a journal state what it wants to receive and what it does not. It improves precision for that journal; it does not raise that journal above a better-fitting alternative.
Governance and auditability
Changes to ranking logic are reviewed against this policy before release.
Recommendation explanations and outcome reporting are being designed so that a founding partner can audit why a manuscript was routed to their journal.
Exit
A publisher may withdraw from the network at any time, and routing to their journals stops without penalty.
