Trust & integrity

The Aletvia Independence Principle.

Aletvia sits between researchers and publishers. That position only works if it cannot be bought. Independence is not a policy statement here — it is a structural constraint on how the system is built.

No guaranteed acceptanceNo paid editorial influenceNo predatory shortcuts

Editorial firewall

Three separated domains that never feed one another

Domain 1

Commercial relationship

Contracts, participation terms and any future fees between Aletvia and a publisher.

Domain 2

Matching algorithm

Scope, article type, methods, readiness and author-stated preference. Commercial terms are not an input.

Domain 3

Editorial decision

Made solely by the journal. Aletvia has no role in acceptance, rejection or peer review.

A publisher paying more can never outrank scientific or author fit, because commercial data is not present in the ranking function at all. Authors always retain the final choice of journal.

Publisher trust gate

Only credible journals may participate

Every applying publisher is assessed against baseline criteria before any journal can receive routed manuscripts. Quartile or ranking never overrides credibility.

  • Verifiable editorial board with named, contactable editors and stated affiliations.
  • A described, consistently applied peer-review process.
  • Transparent fees, licensing and access terms published before submission.
  • A documented policy for corrections, retractions and expressions of concern.
  • No misleading indexing, impact or acceptance-rate claims.
  • No solicitation practices associated with predatory publishing.

Conflict of interest

How conflicts are handled

Aletvia does not own, operate or hold an editorial stake in any journal. Publish My Papers is Aletvia's researcher-facing platform, and its presence in the network confers no advantage to any publisher.

Where Aletvia holds a commercial relationship with a participating publisher, that relationship is recorded separately from matching data and is disclosed to authors in the network transparency notice as participation is onboarded.

Staff involved in commercial partnerships have no ability to alter match ranking logic. Changes to ranking logic are reviewed against the Independence Principle.

Principles

Integrity, ethics, data and auditability

Research integrity

Routing never encourages duplicate submission, salami slicing, authorship manipulation, undisclosed conflicts or citation coercion.

Publication ethics

Aletvia expects participating journals to follow recognised ethical standards for peer review, corrections and retractions.

Data and privacy

Manuscript content is used to assess readiness and fit. It is not sold, and it is not shared with publishers as an open marketplace listing.

Auditability

Recommendation explanations and outcome reporting are being designed so that a partner or regulator can inspect why a route was proposed.
